Seeing Spurs top their Champions League Group is making me extremely nauseus. The fact that they did in a group which is much tougher as compared to ours makes me even more sick. Further to that, we have probably a very very slim chance of finishing top of the group. That's a triple whammy for me today.
Yes we will probably go out there tonight and hammer the daylights out of Partizan but we still cannot change the fact that if Shakhtar avoids defeat to Braga, they will be top of the group. This is an important development because with the other three English teams taking top spot in their groups, it leaves us with only 5 other teams that we can possibly meet in the second stage. Therefore it leaves us with the possibility of meeting anyone of the following: Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Lyon.
I don't know about you guys but looking at the list makes me tremble at our champions league progress this season. Not that I am looking down on our players but it's doesn't look good from where I sit and watch.
